What are the responsibilities and job description for the GENERAL LABOR position at Urgent Design and Manufacturing?
Our Lapeer locations are currently looking to fill General Labor positions on all shifts.
Job Purpose: To assist handling parts for CNC operators and programmers at the beginning stages of each assigned job.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to work in CNC, Stamping, Welding and Laser Departments
- Ability to load parts into the machines
- Activating the machine to cut parts
- Remove part from machine
- Ability to debur part
- Perform basic inspection of part
- Stack parts onto pallet
- Ability to assemble parts, off line
- Communicate with the following shifts leader on the progress of the parts
- Log job time, daily
- LOTO awareness training
- Follow required PPE, and all Company and Safety policies
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Special Knowledge:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience:
- 1 – years work experience preferred
- Excellent organizational & time management skills
- Self-Motivated and able to perform duties with minimal supervision
- Works well in a team environment
