What are the responsibilities and job description for the X-Ray Technologist - Urgent Care - Per Diem position at Urgent Care?
**THIS IS A PER DIEM ROLE ONLY**
Busy urgent care facility located in the Fairless Hills - Levittown - Langhorne area is looking for an X-Ray Technician/Receptionist with a positive work ethic and patient centered mindset. This position entails performing radiological duties as well as registration, chart management and some clerical duties. Experience is preferred but not required.
XRAY TECHNOLOGIST ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome all patients and visitors by greeting them warmly, answering inquiries and directing them through the registration process.
- Utilize a multi-line phone system, fax machine, printer, copier, and scanner to process patients through the course of their evaluation and management.
- Register patients, verifying insurance eligibility, and collecting payments through various software systems.
- Collect all insurance information, verify patient demographics, process payments, post patient balances and complete phone sheets.
- Maintain a neat and clean work environment, professional appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures.
- Answering Multi-Phone Lines, Filing, Faxing, Scanning, Documentation
- Discharge Patients, Assist Office And Clinical Staff And Close Office At End Of Night.
- When appropriate, escort patients to rooms and assist in the initial intake process (obtaining and documenting vital signs, medications, allergies and past medical history).
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
- Protect patients, yourself and staff from radiation exposure by practicing sound procedures which meet or exceed recommended industry standards.
- Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by physicians. Maintain a repeat rate of two percent or less.
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition
- Report immediately any equipment malfunctions to Supervisor.
- Log completed radiological procedures.
- Maintain examination room. Stock necessary office and radiological supplies.
- Request, retrieve and track films.
- Image management including interacting with offsite radiology reading services.
- Work closely with the physician to receive guidance and instruction for treating patients.
**Mandatory weekend rotations which will require 1-2 weekends per month.
**Mandatory Holidays, Nights and 12 hour shifts.

Pay: $27.00 - $34.00 per hour
