Position Summary:
Auburn Memorial Medical Services is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in our urgent care clinic. In this fast-paced clinical environment, you will manage patients with acute illnesses, minor injuries, and select chronic conditions. This role allows professional autonomy while collaborating with supervising physicians, offering the opportunity to enhance your clinical expertise across a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct initial and follow-up patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging as needed.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, procedures, and follow-up care.
- Document all patient interactions and medical decisions in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Manage chronic conditions and perform health maintenance visits.
- Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans in accordance with protocols and physician guidance.
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone or secure messaging and coordinate appropriate care or referrals.
- Communicate with referring and primary care providers regarding patient status and care plans.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives as appropriate
Qualifications:
- Licensed (or eligible) as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
- Master’s degree from an accredited PA program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.

Competitive Salary based on experience: $110,000 to $145,000 per year DOE
