Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Technician to join our dynamic team dedicated to environmental safety and restoration. Duties
- Respond promptly to emergency situations involving water damage, flood incidents, fire damage, mold growth, or hazardous material releases.
- Perform cleaning, restoration, and remediation tasks utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety protocols.
- Operate company vehicles, power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment such as Xactimate for damage assessment and documentation.
- Conduct asbestos abatement and mold remediation procedures following strict industry standards.
- Assist with construction-related tasks such as demolition or site preparation during restoration projects.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding project scope, safety measures, and progress updates.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including safety compliance documentation and project reports.
- Be available for on-call coverage to respond to urgent incidents outside regular working hours.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of the restoration industry with experience in water damage, flood recovery, fire damage repair, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement.
- Demonstrated ability to operate power tools, hand tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and other specialized machinery safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with safety protocols including respiratory protection use and proper PPE procedures to ensure personal safety on-site.
- Ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations with emergency response readiness skills.
- Construction experience is a plus for demolition or structural repair tasks during restoration projects.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and team members.
- Experience using Xactimate software for estimating damages and documenting work processes.
- Knowledge of safety standards such as OSHA regulations related to restoration work including asbestos handling and mold remediation.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate company vehicles responsibly.
