Role DescriptionWe are seeking a full-time, on-site Senior Structural Engineer to join our New York, NY office. The Senior Structural Engineer will lead structural analysis, design, and inspection efforts, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality across all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced structural analysis and design of building and infrastructure components.
- Conduct building inspections and prepare detailed engineering evaluation reports.
- Prepare construction impact reports to assess potential effects on adjacent structures and infrastructure.
- Perform detailed engineering calculations and prepare technical documentation.
- Utilize CAD and BIM software to create accurate structural models.
- Apply finite element (FE) analysis software to evaluate complex structural systems.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver timely, cost-effective solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or related Engineering field, master degress is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 7–10 years of structural engineering experience.
- Proven expertise in structural design, analysis, and building inspections.
- Experience preparing construction impact reports and performing constructability reviews.
- Proficiency in finite element (FE) analysis software, such as SAP2000, ETABS, or LARSA.
- Skilled in CAD and BIM software.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Experience in the New York Metropolitan area preferred.
