What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Technician position at Urban Youth Impact?
Key Goals: Ensures the operational functionality, safety, and cleanliness of building systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and repairs to prevent failures.
- Execute tasks such as painting, patching walls, repairing doors/windows, fixing lighting, etc.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and building codes.
- Document work, manage cleaning and maintenance inventory/supplies, and supervise external contractors.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to assist in maintenance duties
- Ensure daily cleanliness/maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Ensure buildings and grounds are kept clean and are well-maintained.
- Assist with cleaning duties or other assigned tasks as needed.
- Maintain an open line of communication with the Operations Manager to ensure things are going well and report if there are any issues or concerns.
- Assist with site security, ensuring doors are properly closed and secure.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
- Maintain vehicles; gas refill, communicate needs or schedule vehicle maintenance, and clean vehicles.
- Driving when needed.

Qualifications: Experience with maintenance preferred; reports to the Operations Manager; 40 hours weekly; FLSA non-exempt; CDL Class B w/School bus preferred, but not required, Passenger and Air breaks Endorsement. Applicant needs to have an understanding that UYI is primarily a Faith-Based Organization.
