Lead Budtender (Soft Serve 98th)

Job Summary:

Urban Wellness is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Lead Budtender to join our team at a new store in Espanola, New Mexico. The Lead Budtender will play a key role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and delivering outstanding customer service. This position requires a deep understanding of cannabis products, strong leadership skills, and a passion for the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to all customers by assisting them in selecting the appropriate cannabis products to meet their needs and preferences.
• Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of all products offered by Urban Wellness, including strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and train a team of Budtenders to ensure a high level of customer service and product knowledge.
• Compliance: Ensure that all staff adhere to state and local regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products, including proper verification of customer identification and age.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and coordinate with the inventory manager to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Sales Reporting: Monitor daily sales, prepare sales reports, and analyze sales trends to optimize product offerings and improve customer satisfaction.
• Customer Education: Educate customers on the safe and effective use of cannabis products, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and research.
• Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional, efficient manner.
• Store Presentation: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment, including product displays and promotional materials.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in the cannabis industry
• Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compliance: Understanding of state and local cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
• Customer Focus: Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.
• Skills: Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in cannabis studies or related fields is a plus.
