General Description
The Creative & Art Director will lead the artistic direction of the Verbo Initiative, a three-year, multi-platform project designed to uncover and amplify culturally-rooted Hispanic stories of Christian faith—stories that reveal a vibrant, active, authentic, and incarnational faith, inspiring curiosity and engagement. The Creative & Art Director holds responsibility for shaping and safeguarding the artistic vision of the project. This role ensures that the three core artistic expressions—Short Documentaries, Music, and Visual Arts—as well as the intersecting element of Digital Media, consistently reflect the project’s mission of amplifying culturally-rooted Hispanic Christian stories in a cohesive, compelling, and integrated way.
The Creative and Art Director will guide the creative process across areas, maintain a unified visual and narrative identity, and ensure that all artistic outputs resonate authentically with the intended audience. This includes nurturing collaboration across artistic disciplines, protecting cultural integrity, and elevating the aesthetic and emotional impact of the work.
About You
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, artistic expertise, and hands-on production experience, providing leadership across multiple creative mediums while collaborating with internal teams, artists, and external partners. They are a creative and proactive leader who thrives in dynamic, evolving environments. They bring a unique combination of visionary thinking and practical execution, ensuring that multiple moving parts come together seamlessly. They are an expert in integrating storytelling, the arts, and digital innovation; and understanding diversity of Christian traditions, Hispanic Culture, community development, holistic approach, and practical theology. They have a deep appreciation for culturally rooted Hispanic expressions of faith and collaborate effectively with artists, faith leaders, and community partners. They are strategic yet hands-on, equally comfortable shaping the big picture and managing day-to-day project details.

What You’ll Be Doing
Artistic & Creative Leadership
- Define and execute the artistic style for all Verbo projects, including film, music, visual arts, and digital content.
- Ensure creative consistency and high production standards across all media platforms.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, editors, and designers to translate concepts into compelling visual and narrative experiences.
- Guide the development of storyboards, design concepts, mood boards, and other pre-production materials.
- Review and provide feedback on creative outputs to ensure alignment with Verbo’s purpose, and outcomes.
Collaboration & Integration
- Work closely with the Verbo Program Director to ensure that creative outputs are aligned with the overall vision and strategy.
- Collaborate with Short Documentaries, Music, and Visual Arts, as well as Digital Media and Storytelling, to integrate visual, artistic, and narrative elements across components.
- Mentor and support other creative team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Project Oversight & Production Support
- Oversee production processes, from pre-production planning to post-production review.
- Ensure creative timelines and deadlines are met, maintaining quality under project constraints.
- Support budget planning for creative production, including allocation of resources for visual and artistic components.
Innovation & Cultural Leadership
- Research and incorporate emerging trends, techniques, and technologies in media, visual arts, and digital storytelling.
- Maintain sensitivity to Hispanic cultural traditions and Christian faith expressions in all creative work.
- Champion innovative approaches that enhance audience engagement and project impact.
- Other tasks as assigned related to the program and role within the company
