Position: Back of House Team Member
Location: Cafe O’ Play – University City, MO
Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time
Projected Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday: 7am-2pm
Compensation:
- Pay: $15 per hour (plus tips)

Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service: Interact with customers warmly, offer menu recommendations, and handle inquiries or complaints with a positive attitude.
- Food Preparation: Prepare and serve hot and cold food items (burritos, sandwiches, salads, etc) to cafe standards.
- BOH Duties: Maintain prep and par levels, stock rotation and organization, packaging and serving for-here and to-go menu items
- Maintenance & Cleaning: Maintain a clean workspace, which includes sanitizing knives, utensils, and prep areas. Cleaning fridges and freezers, washing dishes, and keeping floors and work surfaces clean.
- Inventory & Stocking: Monitor supply levels (all food items and paper goods) and restock as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous kitchen and/or back of house experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and basic math skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work early mornings.
