We are looking for a happy & upbeat, motivated and hands-on individual to join our Team. You will assist in managing our marketing presence by implementing strategies and tactics that grow our followers, engage and retain them, and help convert them into leads, Customers, and active fans and promoters within our community. You should have command of best practices and trends in omnichannel marketing, enjoy being creative, and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience.
Our shop, Urban Spools Sewing Lounge, is located in East Dallas. We have a lot of passion for sewing and we all pitch in to keep the shop running and have lots of fun! We take immense pride in serving all Customers with highest level of customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Manage our social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Instagram, and additional channels as deemed relevant.
- Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread both our brand and our content.
- Provide creative ideas for content marketing, supporting imagery, and website updates.
- Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing leads and customers as well as from brand new audiences.
- Prepare online newsletters and promotional emails and organize distribution through various channels.
- Support our Team in organizing various online projects, marketing initiatives, social promotions and campaigns and track their success.
- Work alongside our Team to help distribute content that educates and entertains our audience and supports marketing goals.
- Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.).
- Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks to reach our target buyers.
- Assist in the coordination of off-site event planning and management.
- Communicate directly with clients and encourage trusting relationships.
- Track, measure, and analyze all initiatives to report on social media ROI.
Skills:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
- Impeccable spelling and grammar.
- Skills and experience in creative content writing and able to maintain a consistent tone.
- Must have experience with Adobe Creative Suite to generate marketing imagery.
- Active and well-rounded personal presence in social media, with a command of each network and their best practices.
- Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
- Proficiency in using social media software (ex: HootSuite) to monitor social media conversations.
- Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
- Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach.
- Detailed oriented.
