Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Animal Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and their health. This role involves providing essential care and support to all daycare and boarding animals under our supervision.
Duties:
- Feed, water, and ensure the overall well-being of animals in our care
-Administer medications, as listed on boarding sheet
-Follow established procedures to clean and disinfect all kennels daily
- Observe and report behavioral and/or health issues
- Interact with animals to provide socialization and enrichment
- Thorough record keeping
- Maintain laundry for kennel, grooming, and daycare
-Oversee the social media for daycare and boarding (Snapchat and Instagram)
Skills:
- Experience or knowledge of dog and cat body language
- Attention to detail
-Strong work ethic and ability to work quickly
- Affection and care for the animals and their welfare
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs for short distances
-Ability to work in a kennel environment, maintaining cleanliness and organization
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions
- Familiarity with social media such as Snapchat and Instagram
