Patient Concierge- (Bilingual- English/Spanish)

Position Summary:We are currently hiring a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Patient Concierge to join our El Nuevo San Juan Health Center located in Bronx, NY. The Patient Concierge acts as a liaison between patients and their medical center ensuring access to services. They help navigate by creating a welcoming, patient centered experience fostering an informative environment, providing overall positive first and last impression for patients, their families and visitors. They are trained in all aspects of patient services (lobby, info desk, cash, intake) and responsibilities to cover shifts/post as needed. This is an entry level position and is a great fit for patient advocates who want to build a career in health center administrative support. Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma required. This is an entry level position. No previous experience is required. Bilingual Spanish/English required.Must have excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional experience to patients.Understanding of phone etiquette and standard office procedures. Ability to provide a warm and friendly environment.Passion and commitment to serving communitiesKey Duties:Greets patients/visitors in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.Answers patients' inquiries regarding their appointments, procedures, billing, referrals and provides general information. Schedule appointments and coordinate with other departments as needed to ensure time service.Support with Registration, Sliding Fee Discount Schedule Program, ins verification payment collection and PCP changes. Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:This role is based out of El Nuevo San Juan and applicants must have availability to commit to a schedule of 40 hours/week, Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (Saturday shift is 8am-5pm). This assignment is a full-time position.
