What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Specialist position at Urban Health Plan, Inc?
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the AP Specialist will work under supervision in processing invoices, and allocation of expenses. The AP Specialist will work in contact with vendors on a regular basis, which requires strong self-directed communication skills both written and verbal.
While duties are remote, the role reports in to the Bronx, NY for training and once per month for team meetings.
Key Duties:
- Process payment requests by receiving paperwork from various departments, collating invoices and purchases.
- Verifying that all invoices are entered thru Concur, adhering to established cut-offs and timeframes.
- Responds to internal and external inquiries regarding invoice status in a timely manner.
- Perform AP related duties by tracking Payments and ensuring that invoices are cleared in Accounting System.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding invoicing and payment inquiries and discrepancies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in related field of study.
- Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred.
- 2-5 years of previous related Accounts Payable experience.
- Prior experience in non-profit or healthcare is a plus.
- Expertise with Microsoft Excel and previous experience with accounting software.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic, SAP Concur, and Great Plains is highly desired.
- Keen attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and team-driven attitude.
Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:
Remote, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (Training onsite as needed during first 1-2 weeks of employment and in person monthly meetings)
Starting Compensation:
Minimum: $55,000 annually; Maximum: $60,000 annually; Contingent on experience level.
