Responsibilities:
- Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval.
- Prepare and process payments via checks, electronic transfers, and other payment methods.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation.
- Monitor payment due dates to avoid late fees and maintain positive vendor relationships.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Generate accounts payable reports for management as needed.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
Job Logistics
Location: New York, NY – Midtown West
Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $85,000
