This role is ideal for individuals who are deeply connected to the communities they serve, passionate about social impact, and committed to community-centered engagement.

What You’ll Do

Depending on experience level and placement, Community Liaisons are responsible for the following. Responsibilities are organized by level so applicants can clearly see what each role entails.

Community Liaison II — Experienced Level

  • Manage schedule and deliverables reliably. Track and submit hours accurately. Provide informal support to newer Community Liaisons when opportunities arise.
  • Facilitate presentations, discussions, workshops, and/or meetings.

Community Liaison III — Senior Level

  • Lead outreach and build relationships with community members, partners, organizations, and institutions at a senior level. Represent UHP at community meetings, partner gatherings, and institutional settings where leadership presence matters.
  • Coach, mentor, and support CL I and CL II staff in outreach, documentation, and engagement practices. Help ensure consistency, quality, and accountability across CL work.
  • Ensure that outreach documentation and reporting standards are consistently met. Support other CLs in accurate data collection and community feedback tracking.
  • Lead and support training and professional development of other CLs. Lead or co-lead onboarding activities for new Community Liaisons.
  • Assist with planning and coordination of presentations, discussions, workshops, and/or meetings.
  • Lead presentations, discussions, workshops, and/or meetings.
  • Lead and maintain active engagement with the designated UHP department or functional area.
  • Lead project coordination and take initiative to reduce the coordination burden on managers.
  • Maintain required hours and coordination time. Track and submit hours accurately. Exercise sound judgment in complex or sensitive situations without requiring direction.

Candidates may be considered for one of the following levels based on qualifications and experience:

Community Liaison II

Mid-level role involving more independent outreach leadership, stakeholder coordination, and contribution to engagement strategy and planning.
