What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafe/Grill Cook position at UR Medicine Thompson Health?
Schedule: Days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
Main Function:
- Responsible for the preparation, seasoning, garnishing of food for Café meals.
- This task is to be completed based on departmental recipes and procedures in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
Required Job Specific Competencies:
- Demonstrates skill in the ability to prepare food & knowledge of proper safe food handling.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently & exhibits flexibility in decision making & prioritizing assignments.
- Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with all nutrition associates.
- Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
Qualifications:
- Required High School or Equivalent
- Preferred Associates degree in food service related field
- Required six months food service experience.
- Preferred 2 years’ experience in healthcare
- Preferred Serve safe certified.
Pay Range: $18.25 - $21.00 per hour
Starting Pay: Based on Experience
