The Outreach and Engagement Officer will support outreach and engagement with partners, students, and ventures program participants, and coordinate the delivery of activities and events that support UQ Ventures’ suite of programs. This internal alignment offers an exceptional opportunity to expand your network across various faculties and institutes while actively building an engaging community around campus innovation. Key responsibilities will include: Creative Brand Design Apply intermediate Adobe Creative Suite skills (InDesign essential) to produce high quality print and digital resources that elevate program visibility. Vibrant Event Coordination Support the planning and execution of high energy outreach activities, campus events, and logistical operations that celebrate the UQ Ventures community. Multi-Channel Communication Craft compelling marketing content, curate engaging social media streams, and publish targeted eDMs to drive student and founder participation. Strategic Internal Network Building Build influential relationships across various UQ faculties, institutes, and external industry partners. Please note due to the schedule of events and campaigns, some out of standard hours work will be necessary. About You Degree/qualifications and/or extensive administrative experience with a proven track record of planning, organising, and delivering high quality community engagement activities and complex events. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign essential) and MS 365 to independently produce high quality print, digital, and presentation assets that align with brand guidelines. Practical experience building an online community through managing website content, running active social media channels, and utilising eDM platforms (e.g., MailChimp, Vision6) for targeted communications. High level organisational skills to manage multiple overlapping deadlines simultaneously within a fast paced team, combined with a demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
