About the Company:
Our client is a nationally reknowned staging and interior design firm. They offer high end home staging services that translate potential into tangible spaces. Their team partners with sellers, real estate agents, and brands in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and beyond to design memorable environments where beautiful living is easily visualized.
Role and Responsibilities:
This role’s responsibilities fall into two primary areas. (% are estimates)
❖ Inventory Management 50%
❖ Warehouse Management 50%
Inventory Management:
Managing the inventory is key in maintaining designer creativity, flexibility and efficiency. Inventory is constantly coming in and out of the warehouse for different reasons and via different vehicles. Ensuring that they know what is where is crucial.
● Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory
○ Update existing digital inventory with missing and new items
○ Develop/Maintain warehouse inventory audit process
○ Track Installs, Removals, Deliveries, Sales, Broken Items etc.
○ Alerting design team when items need to be sourced or used
● Support in pulling for installations and return of removals
○ Audit designs/To Do List accuracy
○ Pull materials out/place materials back
○ Overseeing load up of materials/guaranteeing accuracy
● Have a strong knowledge of the inventory
○ Have a constant understanding of what is and is not available
○ Develop an understanding of what materials are special vs standard
○ Have an understanding of what is and is not used often.
Warehouse Management:
The second largest part of the role addresses the second largest part of the business, warehouse. Each member of the team plays a pivotal role in keeping it organized. Along with a specific area it is also your responsibility to maintain an overall orderly warehouse.
● Responsible for warehouse tidiness and organization
○ Develop/Maintain warehouse organization process
○ Maintain a clean, orderly and accessible warehouse
● Responsible for warehouse projects
○ New organization methods to meet growing needs
● Innovate
○ Find new ways to solve new and existing problems
○ Find ways to help team members become more efficient
○ Identifying areas of inefficiency in warehouse process, layout, infrastructure and solving for them
● Managing team of 2-3 people to accomplish above tasks
Qualifications/Requirements:
There are several programs they use to communicate with, and save documents and data. It is imperative that you understand how these systems work and how they work within them. Some you are probably familiar with and some may be new.
- 2 years warehouse experience
- Experience in inventory systems
- Experience in managing others
- Experience working in teams
- Able to work full time in person (no virtual work)
● Mastery of Airtable
○ Understand how to navigate between tabs, create/update projects, tasks, contacts, etc
○ Understand how to create and filter views
○ Understand how to navigate the online inventory and To Do Lists
● Mastery of Google Calendar
○ Understand how to create, edit, share google calendar
● Mastery of Google Drive
○ Understand how to navigate within Google Drive
○ Understand how to create, share, move documents and folders
● Mastery of Gmail
○ A large portion of our communication happens over gmail. There is an expectation that emails are responded to within a reasonable time and in an organized manner
Hours and Compensation:
8-4, Monday thru Friday
$95,000 base salary
Full benefits package including healthcare
