Responsibilities
- Provide expert barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming consultations using professional techniques such as straight razors and scissors.
- Perform hair coloring, hair styling, and hair extension applications with precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene in accordance with health regulations and store policies.
- Engage with clients through effective communication, understanding their needs, offering styling advice, and upselling additional services or retail products.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques, providing feedback, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Stay current with industry trends in hair care, color theory, makeup application, and grooming techniques to continually enhance your skills.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license in accordance with state or local requirements.
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on barbering or hair styling.
- Proficiency in salon software such as MINDBODY for booking and client management.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation standards and store management practices.
- Skilled in hair coloring, hair extensions, makeup application, and advanced styling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and understand their preferences.
- Experience working with a variety of tools including straight razors, clippers, scissors, and blow dryers.
- Ability to mentor team members while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering outstanding customer service.
