OVERVIEW
Upstate Elevator is Vermont’s leading brand of Cannabis infused edibles, flower, and beverages. Upstate Elevator’s mission is to elevate mind and body, and to make people feel good, by reuniting with the Cannabis plant.
Production Technician supports the formulation, filling, packaging, and processing of cannabis and cannabis-infused products including edibles, emulsions, and flower. This role is critical to ensuring that all manufacturing processes meet the company’s high standards for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and consistency across all production operations. The schedule will be 3-4 days weekly, with an opportunity to grow into full time in Q1 2026.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in batch preparation and formulation to ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Operate production equipment in accordance with SOPs and safety protocols. Assist in the maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of all production equipment.
- Measure, mix, and transfer materials according to precise batch records.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or process deviations. Follow preventive maintenance schedules to ensure all machinery is in optimal working condition.
- Maintain accurate and detailed batch records for all production runs, ensuring proper documentation of every step in the manufacturing process.
- Maintain strict quality control standards and adhere to all company SOPs and state regulatory requirements to ensure all products meet regulatory guidelines and company specifications.
- Assist the Director of Cultivation with plant-related tasks including trimming, harvesting, cleaning, and defoliation. Follow best practices for handling, drying, and curing flower to preserve product integrity and quality.
- Assist Operations in pick/pack/ship order fulfillment.
- Uphold rigorous cleanliness and sterility within the facility by performing daily cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance of work areas and equipment, including sweeping, mopping, waste and recycling removal, and general facility upkeep.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, food production, or pharmaceutical environments (cannabis experience a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs precisely.
- Comfortable working with mechanical systems and performing basic maintenance tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Must be 21 and pass a State Background check and FBI background check to obtain Cannabis Control Board Employee ID
