A global manufacturer in the industrial precision and advanced technology space is seeking an experienced Operations Finance/Cost Accounting Manager to serve as the financial lead for one of its key business units. This is a high-visibility, hands-on role providing financial leadership to plant operations — partnering closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Logistics to drive efficiency, improve cost controls, and identify profit-improvement opportunities.

What You’ll Do:
- Act as a key business partner to operational leaders across manufacturing and supply chain.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis for plant operations.
- Review and maintain standard costs; analyze variances (PPV, POV) and absorption reports.
- Provide deep-dive analysis into gross margins, labor, and overhead to drive process improvements.
- Model and track capital investments, capacity utilization, and cost-savings initiatives.
- Ensure accurate month-end close, journal entries, and internal reporting.
- Oversee adherence to US GAAP and internal control standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver meaningful financial insights and drive decision-making.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA and/or CMA preferred.
- 5 years of cost accounting or controllership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Strong business acumen, leadership, and communication skills.
Details:
- Location: Duluth, GA (onsite; travel up to 25% to sister facility)
- Compensation: $125K–$140K base 10% bonus
- Schedule: Full-time, onsite with some flexibility
