What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at Upside Innovations Llc?
Audit and monitor quality per company policies, processes, and customer specifications; inspect incoming, in-process, and finished products.
Perform mechanical, physical, and visual inspections to meet specifications and interpret part prints and drawings.
Initiate and complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), quality incident reports, and corrective actions.
Document and analyze quality metrics, findings, and trends; provide reports to management.
Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment and train employees in quality assurance techniques.
Conduct quality tests on finished products to ensure compliance with standards and maintain quality-related documentation.
Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve quality issues and provide feedback on recurring problems.
Participate in root cause analysis, suggest process improvements, and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Address customer complaints, maintain records for audits, and support new team members in quality standards.
Lead containment actions for non-conforming products and implement solutions for quality issues.
Perform other duties as needed.
High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or technical experience preferred.
1 years of experience in Quality as an Inspector or Auditor (preferred).
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and basic math skills.
Ability to read blueprints, geometric tolerancing, and technical documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to identify defects and issues in products.
Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, ASTM) and testing methods (destructive/non-destructive).
Proficiency with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Physical stamina for standing and inspecting products.
Continuous improvement mindset and adaptability to changes in procedures and product designs.
Basic safety knowledge and adherence to safety protocols.
