What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Support Driver position at UPS and Careers?
As a seasonal support driver (SSD), you’ll deliver packages to communities and businesses in the comfort of your own vehicle. This is a friendly, physically active role, so you’ll need to enjoy fast-paced work, being outdoors, and safely being behind the wheel.
This position requires schedule flexibility since work will be assigned in the morning based on operational needs and your availability.
You may experience a short waiting period between when you’re hired and your first day on the job. Our team will keep you in the loop every step of the way via text.
What you’ll need:
- Lift up to 70 pounds
- Driver’s license in the state you live - You will be required to provide proof of this to qualify for this position
- Saturdays and holiday work required – depending on business needs
- No experience necessary
- Legal right to work in the U.S.
- Seasonal support drivers are expected to comply with UPS appearance guidelines
What is required of your vehicle? You will be asked to provide proof of these items
- Proof of vehicle registration
- Minimum state insurance required
- Vehicles must be under 10,000 pounds and if that vehicle is a truck, it must have a covered and secured bed
- No other company logos or markings
- No bumper stickers, political stickers, offensive markings
