About the Director of Finance
The Director of Finance will serve a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s financial strategy to drive growth and operational excellence.
Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Director will bring a strong analytical mindset and deep business acumen to translate financial insights into actionable strategies that support enterprise-wide decision-making. This leader will have meaningful influence on various key areas of financial management, which include P&L responsibilities, company-wide month-end reviews with executive team, long-term strategic initiatives and planning, and investor support.

Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of the monthly financial statement close process and the financial reports
- Lead the development of the various financial reports for the Board of Directors, operators, investors, and other stakeholders
- Partner closely with Accounting to ensure the accuracy of the financials on a regular basis
- Assist with honing financial operations infrastructure to support the organization’s rapid growth, with a focus on monthly/quarterly financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Partner with operational leaders, business development, and senior leadership to support the evaluation of M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships
- Establish financial discipline across acquired practices by standardizing reporting, integrating financial controls, and supporting physician engagement and accountability
- Execute on other ad-hoc projects at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations as applicable
Qualifications
- Must have 8-10 years in progressively responsible roles in strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, and/or corporate finance
- Must have expert-level Excel/financial modeling skills
- Must have demonstrated ability to lead and hone the monthly financial statement close process
- Must have exceptional attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Significant plus: CPA or experience demonstrating strong accounting background
- Significant plus: a deep understanding of the financial complexities and best practices associated with physician practice management
- Significant plus: track record of succeeding in in high-growth environments, ideally in PE-backed multi-site healthcare delivery businesses that have seen growth through acquisition; appetite for a high growth and entrepreneurial environment
- Must have Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics/Engineering/Accounting or other similar areas, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- This is a remote position, however ~quarterly travel to Nashville is required
