What are the responsibilities and job description for the Upper School Study Hall Teacher Associate position at Upper School?
Pine Lake Prep, a North Carolina A rated public charter school, is seeking an Upper School Study Hall Teacher Associate (grades 9-12) for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will provide support to instructional programs with responsibility for monitoring and reporting student behavior and performance. The Study Hall Teacher Associate should be motivated, organized, and have the ability to work in diverse teams.
Essential functions of the position include:
- Assists students, individually or in small groups, with lesson assignments for the purpose of supporting teachers in the instructional process and assisting students in reaching academic goals and grade level standards.
- Maintains a record of accountability for student activities during class time to ensure if students are making good use of time.
- Maintains classroom equipment and work area to ensure the availability of items.
- Promotes good study habits for improving the quality of student outcome.
- Reports observations and incidents relating to specific students to communicate information to appropriate instructional and/or administrative personnel.
- Adheres to safety practices and provides a safe learning environment for students.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Desirable applicants will hold a high school diploma with a BA/BS degree preferred. The candidate will uphold standards set by the NC Department of Public Instruction.
