We are seeking a dedicated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our fun and dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Ensure the patient is comfortable throughout their experience
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are prepared and available.
- Place and polish direct restorations
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) using medical imaging equipment.
- Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately.
- Manage patient records using Dentrix or similar dental management systems.
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle administrative tasks as needed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and work areas in compliance with health regulations.
- Support the dental receptionist with front office duties when required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical coding practices is a plus.
- Experience with 3D scanning technology is an advantage. Trios in office.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
