Substitute Secretary/Clerical

Substitute Secretary/Clerical SALARY RATE: $18.00/hour
HOURS: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm ( As Needed)
AVAILABILITY: Immediately
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors, answer telephone calls, take messages, and route inquiries to the appropriate staff member with a professional and welcoming demeanor.
- Assist with student check-ins/check-outs, maintain daily attendance records, and issue tardy slips or passes as required by building procedures.
- Perform general clerical duties including typing correspondence, data entry, photocopying, collating materials, and distributing mail.
- Utilize school-specific software and platforms (e.g., student information systems, attendance databases, and visitor management tools) to input data accurately.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding student, family, and staff records in strict compliance with FERPA regulations
- Follow district visitor management protocols, ensuring all guests sign in, verify identity, and receive proper clearance badges before entering the building.
- Adapt quickly to different building routines, grade levels (elementary, middle, or high school), and department-specific procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to use a computer and other basic office machines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
