The New Hope-Solebury School District is seeking an Assistant Lead Food Service worker for the Upper Elementary School cafeteria.
This position offers a flexible work schedule with summers off (10 Month Employee)
5.75 hours per day Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Set up and break down food stations for lunch and events.
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to prevent cross-contamination
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring needs are met promptly and professionally
- Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, and maintain accurate records
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and monitoring stock levels
- Assist Lead Manager as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
