The Upper Darby School District is seeking applicants to fill a Supervisor of Guidance, Scheduling, and Math (K-5) position located at the Administration Building -
JOB GOAL
Provides leadership and oversight for the district's comprehensive school counseling program, master scheduling processes,
and K–5 mathematics curriculum and instruction. This position ensures alignment with Pennsylvania Department of Education
(PDE) regulations, district strategic goals, and best practices in academic planning, student support services, and mathematics
achievement. The Supervisor works collaboratively with building administrators, teachers, counselors, and central office staff
to promote student success and operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Oversee implementation of a comprehensive K–5 school counseling program aligned with PDE standards.
2. Supervise and evaluate school counselors and teachers.
3. Ensure compliance with Chapter 339 School Counseling Plan requirements.
4. Monitor student academic progress, graduation pathways, and career readiness initiatives.
5. Support student mental health initiatives in collaboration with student services personnel.
6. Oversee development and implementation of district master schedules.
7. Ensure equitable student access to required coursework and advanced programming.
8. Analyze enrollment projections and staffing needs to inform scheduling decisions.
9. Utilize student information systems and scheduling software to optimize efficiency.
10. Provide leadership in K–5 mathematics curriculum development and alignment to Pennsylvania Academic Standards.
11. Supervise and evaluate mathematics staff and counseling staff (as assigned).
12. Analyze student achievement data to inform instructional improvement strategies.
13. Lead curriculum review cycles and resource adoption processes.
14. Coordinate professional development in mathematics instruction and assessment.
15. Support MTSS implementation in mathematics.
16. Serve as a member of the district leadership team.
17. Collaborate with building principals to support instructional improvement.
18. Present reports and recommendations to the Superintendent and Board of School Directors.
19. Support district strategic planning initiatives.
20. Maintain effective communication with families and community stakeholders.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Performs in accordance with school policy, administrative regulations, state and federal laws.
