UBCSS is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. This position is responsible for maintaining the agency’s buildings, grounds, and vehicles while helping ensure our facilities remain safe, comfortable, clean, and fully operational for employees and the individuals we serve.
The Maintenance Technician works under the direction of the Building and Facilities Manager and performs a variety of general maintenance, repair, groundskeeping, and facility support duties.

What You’ll Do
- Building & Facility Maintenance
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance throughout agency facilities.
- Complete basic repairs involving electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
- Identify maintenance issues and report larger or specialized repairs to the Building and Facilities Manager.
- Help maintain a safe, comfortable, and functional environment.
- Follow agency safety procedures and applicable safety guidelines.
Grounds & Property Maintenance
Vehicle & Equipment Support
Emergency & Essential Personnel Responsibilities
This position is considered essential personnel. The Maintenance Technician may be required to work when the agency is closed or outside of the regular work schedule when necessary to address facility, weather-related, vehicle, or other urgent maintenance needs.
- Perform grass cutting and general landscaping.
- Assist with seasonal grounds maintenance.
- Perform snow and ice removal when needed.
- Maintain the appearance and condition of agency properties.
- Move furniture, equipment, and other items as needed.
Vehicle & Equipment Support
- Assist with basic automotive and vehicle maintenance activities.
- Help ensure agency vehicles and equipment remain in safe working condition.
- Report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of general maintenance experience preferred.

- Painting
