Responsibilities
- Collaborate with medical staff to monitor outcomes, set quality priorities, and implement evidence‑based patient safety and professional practice improvements.
- Track unit quality metrics and dashboards, develop action plans, and share successful practices across units.
- Analyze nurse and patient satisfaction data and create improvement strategies.
- Support staff engagement in evidence‑based practice and quality initiatives.
- Build strong, positive working relationships through mentoring, teamwork, and clear communication.
- Manage and resolve conflict promptly; foster trust, transparency, and respectful communication.
- Promote a healthy work environment by supporting safe scheduling practices and staff well‑being.
- Coach staff on cultural diversity and address workplace concerns, including horizontal violence.
- Create and communicate a shared vision for the unit; use financial, quality, and operational data to guide planning.
- Lead change initiatives, involving stakeholders and supporting staff through transitions.
- Represent the unit in professional and advocacy organizations.
- Champion patient‑centered, Relationship‑Based Care; ensure nursing practice meets clinical and regulatory standards.
Apply evidence‑based practice and national best practices to drive clinical excellence.
Develop staff through coaching, education, orientation, and support of specialty certification.
- Lead and develop Clinicians, supporting their leadership growth and oversight of direct reports, performance conversations, and recruitment.
- Ensure all direct care staff maintain required competencies and address skill gaps through training and evaluation
