As a Sonographer, you will:
- Perform Imaging Procedures: Conduct ultrasound procedures independently, using your judgment and initiative.
- Assist with Invasive Procedures: Support physicians during invasive procedures, adhering to universal protocol standards.
- Manage Exam Documentation: Ensure exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, and charges are accurately entered.
- High-Level Disinfection: Handle disinfection of devices, supplies, and equipment as needed.
- Communicate Effectively: Clearly explain procedures to patients, easing their fears and gaining their cooperation.
- Patient Identification: Use two patient identifiers and follow universal protocol for accurate patient identification.
- Review and Document Patient History: Assess physician orders, apply departmental protocols, and document patient history in electronic records.
- Interact with Care Team: Collaborate with patients and co-workers, demonstrating care, respect, and teamwork.
- Optimize Imaging Techniques: Utilize ultrasound instrumentation effectively to obtain high-quality images and data.
You will be placed in the appropriate
