What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Project Assistant WPI position at UPMC?
The Versace Lab (Department of Psychiatry, University of Pittsburgh / UPMC WPIC) investigates the neurobiological and hormonal mechanisms underlying emotional dysregulation in adolescents following concussion. Our NIH‑funded iCARE2 and REACT studies combine MRI, behavioral assessments, and hormone measures to better understand recovery trajectories and clinical outcomes. We are a collaborative, fast‑paced research environment committed to diversity, scientific rigor, and supporting adolescent participants and their families. The Research Project Assistant (RPA) will support daily operations of the iCARE2 Study, including participant communication, assisting with MRI visit logistics, REDCap data entry, recruitment follow‑ups, and maintenance of study tracking documents. The employee will coordinate with study staff to ensure timely scheduling of assessments, maintain data accuracy, and help prepare materials for participant visits.
This position is grant funded.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in all recruitment activities, handle project specific tasks, and assist with day to day activities for research project including recruitment, data collection, participant payments, budget management, etc.
- Independently execute job functions for research protocol(s) including recruitment, scheduling appointments, obtaining written consent forms, collecting data by conducting phone or face to face interviews for research project(s) as needed.
