SVC HS Information Technology
Health Sciences IT (HSIT) is seeking a dynamic professional to fill a dual role that encompasses both Research Operations and Project Manager Supervisor responsibilities. The HSIT Research team provides support for the six schools of the health sciences. As such, they will collaborate closely with research teams and their Principal Investigators (PIs) to recommend existing solutions or design new services in support of research.
This position requires a strategic thinker with the ability to implement comprehensive IT solutions while overseeing project/product management activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical acumen and leadership skills to drive complex projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations. Key responsibilities include strong technical knowledge (on-prem, Azure, AWS), project management (Agile/Scrum), team supervision, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver innovative and efficient solutions.
The incumbent will lead research operations and compliance team members as well. Experience with IRB/DUA compliance as well as various security standards such as NIST 800-171 and HIPAA is expected. Experience with budgets and effort is preferred but not required as this person will ensure other teams complete monthly effort reports and collect and finalize project budgets from other team leaders.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of research experience, ideally in health sciences, along with solutions architecture, compliance, and project/product management.
Essential Functions
Little physical effort largely sedentary may be required to move objects up to 25 lbs.
