In this role, there is opportunity to:
- Interpret and evaluate physician orders and prescriptions accurately
- Identify and report adverse drug reactions in a timely manner
- Sustain formulary integrity via therapeutic interchange and rational drug use
- Review patient medication profiles for allergies, interactions, and duplications
- Organize daily operations and support pharmacy staff supervision
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify medication orders
- Provide drug information and educational sessions to staff and students
- Utilize EPIC and other systems to document and verify medication use
- Prepare and dispense intravenous admixtures using aseptic techniques
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards
