UPMC Passavant is hiring a Part Time (24 hours/week) nurse to support our 5 Pavilion Unit
About the Unit:
5 North Pavilion has 30 private beds and is primarily orthopedic service line including elective joint replacements, orthopedic spine procedures and fractures.
Other patient populations include urological surgery, abdominal surgery, gynecological and ENT patients.
Schedule:
You can either work a rotating schedule OR straight nights
Purpose:
The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse who plays a key role in delivering high-quality patient care. This position involves setting care standards, managing patient care, and collaborating with healthcare teams to achieve the best outcomes. The nurse builds strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, and demonstrates leadership and professionalism in every aspect of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care & Communication:
Use independent judgment and strong communication skills to plan and deliver care tailored to each patient’s needs. Collaborate with physicians and team members to ensure continuity and quality of care. - Education & Support:
Educate patients and families throughout their care journey. Support new staff and students, and foster a culture of learning and growth. - Professional Practice:
