Lead Office System Assistant - Radiology Support (UPMC Presbyterian)
We are now hiring for a Lead Office System Assistant to support the Radiology Support Department at UPMC Presbyterian. This role provides front desk leadership and operational support, ensuring timely patient check‑in, efficient workflow, and an exceptional patient experience while serving as a resource and role model for Office System Assistants.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM; rotating Saturdays, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support front desk operations; ensure efficient workflow and issue resolution
- Accurately check in patients, verify demographics/billing, and coordinate radiology exams
- Schedule inpatient, outpatient, and add‑on exams per departmental guidelines
- Answer multi‑line phones professionally; route calls and obtain missing provider orders
- Maintain documentation accuracy, confidentiality, and HIPAA/UPMC compliance
- Deliver excellent customer service, including service recovery and complaint resolution
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, support training and teamwork
