UPMC Altoona is excited to introduce the UPMC Mercy School of Nursing at Altoona, a dynamic 16-month diploma program designed to elevate the next generation of nurses in our region. As we prepare to welcome our inaugural class in Fall 2026, we’re seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Aid Coordinator or Enrollment Specialist or to help shape the student experience from day one.
Candidates will be placed into the appropriate job title (Financial Aid Coordinator or Enrollment Specialist) based on experience & education. Note: Salary information listed on this job posting reflects the Financial Aid Coordinator title.

Responsibilities:
Administers the student financial aid program at the UPMC schools of nursing.
Provides financial aid and assistance to eligible students and maintains financial aid records.
First point of contact for current and incoming students with questions pertaining to financial aid
Starts and maintains financial aid records on paper and within the CampusVue Student Information System
Contacts current and incoming students about Financial Aid missing/incomplete documents, follow-ups with students as needed
Responsible for paperwork related to the origination and disbursement of financial aid for all current students who request Financial Aid
Assists current and graduating students with payment plans
Assists with the recruitment activities for the schools through attendance of Information sessions or answer individual questions from potential students
Completes special projects and assignments as directed.
