Social Media Coordinator
Part-Time | Remote | Orange County, CA | $20 per hour | 5-6 hours per week
About UPLIFT Youth Foundation:
UPLIFT Youth Foundation is dedicated to empowering teens through mental wellness programs, mentorship, and community engagement. We are looking for a Social Media Coordinator to help bring our mission to life online. The ideal candidate is creative, proactive, and passionate about engaging digital communities through strategic content creation and engagement.
- Develop and maintain a weekly/monthly content calendar aligned with UPLIFT’s mission and programming.
- Create and post weekly content across Instagram, YouTube, and other social media platforms.
- Capture, edit, and produce engaging visual content, including videos and images, using Canva, Photoshop, and Reels.
- Edit and optimize videos for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- Oversee and update content on Squarespace, ensuring brand consistency across digital platforms.
- Stay up to date with social media trends and best practices to enhance engagement.
- Implement UPLIFT’s Instagram engagement strategy to build relationships with teens, mentors, and supporters.
- Create and execute a Mental Health Awareness Month social campaign.
- Develop and implement follower acquisition strategies on a weekly basis.
- Manage a special events and holiday calendar, ensuring timely and relevant posts for occasions like Women’s Day, Mental Health Awareness Day, and Earth Day.
- Engage with the community by interacting with new posts and stories, responding to DMs, and supporting engaged followers.
- Must be based in Orange County, CA, with reliable transportation for in-person monthly events.
- Occasional weekend availability is required, as some events take place on weekends.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Canva, Squarespace, and video editing tools.
- Strong written and visual communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with performance metrics and social media analytics is a plus.
- Persistent and direct communication style with a collaborative approach.
- Weekly meetings are required to align on content strategy and engagement.
- The role allows for flexibility during work hours (Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM), but availability for posting and engagement during peak hours is preferred.
- Attendance at monthly in-person events in Orange County is required.
