Are you a seasoned professional in blood banking with a passion for leadership and excellence? We have an exciting opportunity for you at our 140-bed acute care hospital located in the stunning destination resort area of Greater Palm Springs, CA.
Position Summary :
As the Blood Bank Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, compliance, monitoring, and staff mentoring of our Blood Bank Section. You will ensure best practices and evidence-based blood management and transfusion practices are followed, contributing to the highest standards of patient care.
Qualifications :
- Education : Baccalaureate degree in medical technology, laboratory science, or related fields.
- Training : Completed an internship in Clinical Laboratory Science or a Laboratory specialty.
- Licensure : Current and valid CLS license issued by the State of California Department of Health.
- Experience : At least 5 years of training or experience in blood banking.
- Continuing Education : Must complete a minimum of 12 continuing education units per year as required by the license.
Skills :
Leadership : Prior leadership and / or supervisory experience preferred.
