We are seeking a driven and personable Inside Sales Representative to join our team, with a strong focus on outbound cold calling to set up qualified appointments for our field sales team and to manage Inside Sales accounts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of engaging prospective clients over the phone, as well as strong follow-through skills to support the post-visit sales cycle.
In this role, you'll be responsible for initiating first contact with potential customers, understanding their needs, scheduling appointments for our field sales team, and following up on post-meeting deliverables such as quotes, product information, or service clarifications. Your ability to build rapport, qualify leads, and provide outstanding customer service will be critical to your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect new clients through outbound cold calls, emails, and other channels to introduce our products and schedule appointments for the field sales team
- Qualify prospects through effective questioning and needs analysis and follow up on inbound leads
- Conduct virtual product presentations, explain value propositions, negotiate terms, and close deals to meet or exceed quotas
- Manage and update lead information in the CRM system accurately and in a timely manner
- Coordinate and follow up on appointments, ensuring all necessary information is relayed to and from the field sales team
- Provide quotes, product details, and other requested follow-up information to customers after field sales visits
- Meet or exceed daily/weekly outreach and appointment-setting targets
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to optimize outreach strategies and improve conversion rates
- Track all interactions and results, providing reports and feedback to the management team
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an outbound inside sales, appointment setting, cold calling, or customer service role
- Demonstrated experience in high-volume cold calling and outbound prospecting
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, follow up on customer requests, and close gaps in the sales support process
- Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.)
- Comfortable working with targets and quotas in a performance-driven environment
- High degree of professionalism, persistence, and adaptability
Preferred:
- Experience supporting a Field or Outside sales team
