Overview
The Fluid Level & Echometer Diagnostic Technician is responsible for performing fluid level surveys, dynamometer testing, gas lift diagnostics, acoustic well analysis, and production optimization services using Echometer equipment and associated diagnostic technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Well Diagnostics
- Perform fluid level surveys.
- Conduct single-shot and dual-shot acoustic tests.
- Perform surface and downhole dynamometer testing.
- Evaluate gas lift valve performance.
- Diagnose tubing leaks and packer failures.
- Identify communication between tubing and casing.
Data Analysis
- Process and interpret Echometer data.
- Generate diagnostic reports.
- Recommend optimization opportunities.
- Support production engineering teams.
Equipment Management
- Maintain Echometer equipment.
- Calibrate instruments.
- Maintain inventory of field tools.
- Ensure proper operation of pressure and acoustic equipment.
Customer Support
- Interface directly with operators.
- Present field findings.
- Support optimization programs.
- Assist with training customer personnel.
Reporting
- Prepare professional reports.
- Upload field data to company databases.
- Track testing schedules and results.
Qualifications
- Technical degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of oilfield production operations experience.
- Understanding of:
- Rod Pump Systems
- Gas Lift Systems
- Well Diagnostics
- Production Optimization
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in remote locations.
Preferred Experience
- Echometer fluid level equipment.
- Echometer Total Well Management (TWM).
- RodStar.
- XDIAG.
- XSPOC.
- Gas lift optimization.
