**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a friendly and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our team at Up For Breakfast. We are a cozy, fast-paced casual breakfast restaurant in the center of Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional guest services, ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, and creating a positive dining experience for our guests.
Required Shifts: Saturday and Sunday mornings: 8:30am - 1:30pm; weekdays and/or holidays as needed
**Responsibilities:**
- Greet guests upon arrival and provide a warm welcome.
- Manage table wait list, take phone calls, and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Seat guests and provide menus and silverware.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand and dining area, including the lobby, dining room, and restrooms.
- Assist waitstaff with fulfilling guests needs.
- Bus and clean tables when customers have departed.
- Communicate effectively with waitstaff to ensure seamless service and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Handle guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that they are resolved promptly and to the guest's satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the restaurant team to provide exceptional service and maintain a positive work environment.
**Experience:**
- Previous experience in the food service or hotel industry is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a host/hostess role, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring the smooth operation of a restaurant or hotel.
- Strong communication and customer service skills are essential for this position.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing situations and priorities.

- Excellent guest relations skills.
- Ability to handle cash.
