About Design Agricultural Engineer role
Join a family‑owned, world‑class agricultural equipment manufacturer, building high‑quality implements since 1948. As a Design Engineer, you’ll support product development with CAD modeling, drafting, and engineering documentation that powers safe, reliable, and manufacturable designs.
Design Agricultural Engineer responsibilities
- Prepare layouts, 3D CAD models, drawings, sketches, and diagrams to support Design Engineers and product teams.
- Create and process print revisions, modifications, and ECNs for release and product support.
- Update and maintain CAD drawing databases and engineering data within the MRP system.
- Create and maintain engineering documents, standards, and BOM‑related outputs.
- Support field service, testing, and validation activities as needed.
- Produce daily/weekly/monthly progress reports for the Design Engineering Supervisor.
Design Agricultural Engineer qualifications
- Actively enrolled in or completed an accredited engineering or engineering technology program (e.g., CAD Design, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Ag Systems Technology).
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or comparable solid‑modeling CAD tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written, presentation, verbal, and phone communication skills.
- Ability to provide references and recommendations from academic advisors and/or prior employers or mentors.
Design Agricultural Engineer physical requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Visual acuity to see details at a distance; distinguish colors, shades, and brightness.
- Fine motor skills to grasp and manipulate small components.
- Auditory focus to distinguish and prioritize sounds.
- Quick hand/foot reactions and accurate depth perception.
- Ability to hold arm/hand steady for detailed work.
