Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily order processing, including picking, packing, labeling, and preparing shipments.
- Support the verification of order accuracy and help research orders that are past due or require follow-up.
- Learn proper operation of warehouse equipment and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Help monitor workflow within shipping, packaging, and staging areas to ensure orders move efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining departmental records such as attendance logs, shipment logs, and inventory documentation.
- Participate in the preparation and printing of daily reports, manifests, and shipping documents.
- Support communication with internal teams, such as Customer Service, regarding orders that may require updates.
- Gain exposure to warehouse management systems (e.g., Oracle) by assisting with data entry, report running, and system troubleshooting under supervision.
- Help ensure special accounts (e.g., AAFES, Navy Exchange, Marine Corps) are tracked and orders are prepared according to schedule.
- Assist with inventory staging, pallet consolidation, and maintaining clean and organized working areas.
- Participate in continuous improvement discussions, learning how to identify process efficiencies within packaging and shipping operations.
- Support ordering and tracking of warehouse supplies as needed.
- Must be currently enrolled in University of Georgia, University of South Carolina, University of Cincinnati, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Southern California, University of Maryland
- Ability to read and interpret written instructions and documentation
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse teams and leadership
