Testing Assistant- ARC

Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) is excited to announce we are hiring. As an employee of this highly energetic and student-oriented center, you will provide testing accommodation support to current students within ARC. The Testing Assistant provides direct support to individuals with disabilities as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Administers and oversees tests according to strict guidelines and standards, distributes test materials, and monitors the conduct of examinees.
• Schedules exams/quizzes for students.
• Prepares and organizes testing materials in accordance with individual testing requirements and with established testing protocol and guidelines.
• Assist in the enforcement of test security policies and procedure before, during and after testing.
• Communicates with faculty, staff, other departments to ensure the exams/quizzes are administered to their preference.
• Coordinate Testing stations.
• Prepares test material for delivery; verifies accuracy of test materials and prepares all associated documentation.
• Provides general administrative assistance, to include answering phone inquiries
and assistance to walk-in students.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.

High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge and understanding of pre-testing and post-testing security standards and procedures.
• Knowledge and understanding of ADA regulations, guidelines, and standards as applicable to an academic setting.
• Experience working in a testing center that provides ADA accommodations. 
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
