Practicing maternal fetal medicine at the University of New Mexico
means holistic work to improve outcomes for pregnant and postpartum people in
this state. We provide care both locally
and in outreach clinics that primarily partner with Indian Health Services and
Tribal hospitals. We are clinical
teachers of students, residents and fellows. We lead research that is clinically significant to our patients with respect
to health inequities. Our work is multidisciplinary as our patient’s outcomes
hinge not only on excellent clinical care but navigation of complex health
related social needs.

The University of New Mexico, School of Medicine and Health Sciences Center is
seeking a maternal fetal medicine specialist who will contribute actively to
the climate of diversity & inclusivity. We invite applications for an open
rank, open track full-time faculty position in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
UNM's Maternal Fetal Medicine Division has an established fellowship, has a
busy clinical practice, is active in research and education, and is building an
innovative partnership with flight medicine to improve outcomes for pregnant
and postpartum persons who are transported from rural areas and maternal health
care deserts.
