Education Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position
The University of New Mexico, College of Education and Human Sciences, Department of Health, Exercise & Sport Sciences, invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Health Education, beginning August 2026.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected
to teach a variety of community health education-level courses in community
health education potentially including the areas of Management of Health Promotion Programs; Advanced Community
Health Education Research; Community Health Education Program Planning,
Development & Evaluation; Measurement & Evaluation in Health Promotion;
and Epidemiology; advise
master’s-level graduate students specializing in community health education; and
meet the needs for service in the department, college, university, and
community. The candidate is expected to
maintain an active research agenda including publishing in peer-reviewed journals
and submitting grant applications for external funding. All areas of health
education and community health research are welcome including (but not limited
to) behavioral health interventions, community-based participatory research,
and epidemiology across all disease prevention and treatment clinical profiles.
