Bunzl Safety is seeking a production worker for our facility in Piperton, TN. The Production Worker will assemble boxes or make alterations to various product. The Production Associate is responsible for learning proper procedures and product information required to perform the job in a manner consistent to company objectives. The Production Associate assures the quality, and quantity of the product produced.
Hours for this position are Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:40pm
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Production Associate will perform labeling, bagging, boxing and preparing finished goods for shipping of the Value Added Services (VAS) department
- Ensure that all products produced in the VAS department are free of defects and produced according to QC procedures.
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
- Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and in accordance with OSHA standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1 year of experience in a Production environment.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Must be able to do simple math.
- Must be able to read and write legibly.
- Must be capable of standing, and sitting for extended periods of time.
- Must have the ability to follow directions.
