Job Description: Job Summary Responsible for maintaining a sterile and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Ensures thorough cleaning and sanitation of all areas to prevent the spread of disease and infection. Performs comprehensive floor maintenance to uphold cleanliness and safety standards. Supports positive patient outcomes by adhering to strict hygiene protocols. Collaborates with team members to achieve a healthy and welcoming facility. Essential Functions • Performs assigned environmental services tasks according to policies and procedures. • Uses appropriate solutions, chemicals, materials, and equipment in assigned areas. • Demonstrates and promotes safety in all tasks and proper waste disposal. • Performs floor care and maintenance for hard surfaces and carpeting. • Cleans and maintains floor equipment, requesting assistance as needed. • Interfaces with department leaders to support orientation and training. • Trains and oversees onboarding of new hires to ensure consistency. • Maintains and updates training materials and educates employees on policy changes. • Observes employees to ensure adherence to procedures and proper chemical use. • Performs other duties as assigned. Education Requirement High school diploma or equivalent experience Experience Requirement 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
